How to get the best performance with new comp?

Hello all, after loong time I bought new notebook

ACER Aspire 7551G-N834G64MN and I hoped for WOW effect when I would first run SF2E...

Now I can run it in resolution 1600x900 very smooth, but how to get the great light effects

bump mapping and shaders I can see on some screenshot? I run SF2E with last update.

HDR mods were for first generation right? So do I need something else?

Is the video card DX10 capable? That is the only way you will get those effects.

It has the ati mobility radeon hd 5650 DX11 card

so I hope it is DX10 compatible because I read about it:

This means the performance is sufficient for high details in nearly all DirectX 10 games (only Crysis and GTA4 are not fluently playable in high details - see gaming list below). Upcoming and current DirectX 11 games (like DIRT2) may not run in full detail settings. That means some of the new DirectX 11 features (Tesselation e.g.) may not run fluently on this gaming graphics adapter.

 

But how to activate them?

You can bump up the graphics settings like Effects - or try setting UseAdvancedShaders on in the options.ini
