I just stumbled across Gorrell's History of the U.S. Airservice. It's an original report found on Footnote.com. I haven't seen it mentioned before Definitely worth looking at.

Yeah, it's a goldmine. Some units did a much better job of summarising their histories than others, but it all makes for fascinating reading. One thing I found particularly interesting was the readiness reports of some of the SPAD units. Those Hissos caused a lot fo headaches!

I was so lucky to find a copy of Theo Osterkamp's "Du oder ich" and ordered it - not here yet.

I'm hoping to find something about him flying the Fokker E.V perhaps.
