Exp2 Debrief Problem

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what needs to be done in order to fix this minor but irritating post Exp2 glitch I'm having on the debrief log screen?

I seem to have all my onboard mods sorted and brought up to date but this has me stumped. Probably an INI replacement from the new CAT files, but which one? :dntknw:

BTW, I think I should have added this in my initial post but the problem above is that my rank and my wingmens names are missing.

I'm using the DESERT3_NATIONS.INI file in my updated Desert terrain. Already double checked it:

[Theater]

TheaterName=Somewhere in Middle East

Location001=Kingdom of Dhimar

Location002=Empire of Paran

Location003=British Protectorate of Sharnak

Location004=Straits Of Dhimar

Location005=Gulf Of Paran

[Nation001]

NationID=256

Name=Dhimar

DisplayName=Dhimari Air Force

Alignment=FRIENDLY

PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst

RankList=RanksRAF.lst

CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst

Formation.Fighter=USFighter

Formation.Attack=USFighter

Formation.Bomber=USBomber

Formation.Transport=USBomber

Formation.Tank=USTank

Formation.MobileAD=USAD

PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL

GenderRatio=0

[Nation002]

NationID=257

Name=Paran

DisplayName=Parani Air Force

Alignment=ENEMY

PilotNameList=NamesArabic.lst

RankList=RanksRussian.lst

CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst

Formation.Fighter=SovietFighter

Formation.Attack=SovietFighter

Formation.Bomber=SovietBomber

Formation.Transport=SovietBomber

Formation.Tank=SovietTank

Formation.MobileAD=SovietAD

PilotTrainingStandard=NORMAL

[Nation003]

NationID=202

RankList=RanksRAF.lst

CallsignList=CallsignsUS.lst

Formation.Fighter=USFighter

Formation.Attack=USFighter

Formation.Bomber=USBomber

Formation.Transport=USBomber

Formation.Tank=USTank

Formation.MobileAD=USAD

PilotTrainingStandard=EXCELLENT

GenderRatio=0

DebriefSuccessMusic=DebriefSuccess.wav

DebriefFailMusic=DebriefFail.wav

DebriefKilledMusic=DebriefKilled.wav

SpeechFile=USAFSpeech.cat

SpeechTextFile=USAFSpeechText.str

Medals=MedalsRAF.ini

MedalTextFile=MedalsRAF.str

[LimitedNationList]

FriendlyNation001=Dhimar

FriendlyNation002=USAF

FriendlyNation003=USN

FriendlyNation004=USMC

FriendlyNation005=RAF

EnemyNation001=Paran

EnemyNation002=Soviet

EnemyNation003=EGermany

I don't think it's anything to do with that anyway, since the proper .lst files are being quoted for the proper names.

Problem seems to be sorted. I got the DEBRIEFSCREEN.INI file from the CAT pack and threw it into the Menu folder

Strange though, cos I didn't have edited DEBRIEFSCREEN.INI files in there in the first place.

As for the other SF2 titles, I haven't even touched them yet. I've got so many mods and tweaked files in my games that I've only just finished replacing and updating the necessary ones in SF2 since I bought Exp2 last weekend :heat:

Glad you got it sorted...gotta love the INI dance... :clapping:

For me it's more like a slow waltz :grandpa:

Especially when your updating a HEAVILY modded game

It's in the FlightData.cat. Go to the Downloads section and find "CatPack" and that'll allow you to extract the files for modding. Sorry it's in the Utilities section....

your terrain's nations ini is not quite right ... it looks like the stock one. For a limited nations statement, you don't need to have the numbered nations sections, just the theatre/locations lising, and the limited nations listings

Should read like this:

[Theater]

TheaterName=Somewhere in Middle East

Location001=Kingdom of Dhimar

Location002=Empire of Paran

Location003=British Protectorate of Sharnak

Location004=Straits Of Dhimar

Location005=Gulf Of Paran

[LimitedNationList]

FriendlyNation001=Dhimar

FriendlyNation002=USAF

FriendlyNation003=USN

FriendlyNation004=USMC

FriendlyNation005=RAF

EnemyNation001=Paran

EnemyNation002=Soviet

EnemyNation003=EGermany

take a look at the Libya or DBS, Formosa, Himilaya nations inis for examples

Odd, that it didn't reach-around to the proper Cat to automatically 'fix' the menu, and that you had to put the ini IN the /Menu folder

I got CatPack and extracted FlightData.cat from the Program Files and I still can't find the nations.ini. I'm looking to add medals to a few other countries using the pack for the earlier Strike Fighters and I found where the pictures go, but I can't find where the .ini files listing all the medals and their requirements for each country are or the nations.ini file to tie the list .ini files to the countries. Maybe I'm missing something here all together, but I think if I can find that stuff, I can make this work and start getting German crosses for my Wittenmacher flights.
