How long before a (stock) campaign is over? How many missions do I have to complete?

Or, until the victory/defeat conditions are met, i.e. your ground forces capture the enemy base node, or the enemy ground forces capture your base node. Those are also all defined in the campaign_DATA.INI file. Your success rate in completing missions has a direct effect on the success rate of your ground forces.

 

Some campaigns do not have a ground war, e.g the stock Vietnam campaigns, then, as Stick says you have to complete (survive!) your tour of duty.

 

So, it all depends on the particular campaign, and how well you do in the air.
