+daddyairplanes 8,635 Posted February 21, 2011 i convoyed in iraq during the "hillbilly armor" days, when windows were replace with a 1/8 inch plate of steel, cut so a hole remains to see out the window and rear view mirror . was supposed to be highly effective at stopping a 5.56 mm round dead in its tracks. unfortuneatly the other side shoots 7.62 or bigger. fortunetaly i never had to find out if it works!
