Convair 200 - seeing lots of interesting What-if, even if only for donning it with a new, spiffy camo

Who needs sparrows anyway?

Thanks everyone, btw, I will try some more 'historically' accurate camos for the Mirage based on German Phantom trial camos.

About the Problem on the Convair.

maybe you can do 2 variants one A with the weaponstaions you have and a later one, lets call it "C" variant with mor stations if possible.

or you have to make clear what typ of aircraft is the convair 200, it looks like it is a very light plane

Had another thought regarding the weapons stations, you could always have a twin rail under each wing when carrying the centreline tank. Or go with a twin rail on the tips if you want something completely different

Ulyanovsk! Finally a worthy target for my AS 34!

I was trying out some more historically accurate skins on my Mirage, based on German Phantom trial camo: all-grey and blue-grey. As they were tested in 1976 it is not unlikely that they would have been used on my Mirage IIIG (77). They were rejected as were not suited for the fighter-bomber role but this no concern for my what-if.

So, here we go:

EditBlue-grey is coming next time! I do not want to overload one post with so many screens.

So here is the Blue-Grey (screenshot edited) and a try on Norm 81. It did not really work out well, so I have to practise skinning a lot before I can get a better Norm 81. I still lack a proper spatial sense and Norm 81 is a difficult camo. So many different colours!

Anyway, here we go:

@ PH that last scheme would look good with JASDF markings!

Indeed! I also think about the Norm 90J with Japanse markings. Now that would be as odd as it would be cool, a French Mirage with German camo and Japanese markings

Maybe later!

Ah, long range interceptors for Argentine are a great idea, not only for hunting bombers but also for taking out the air cover of the British fleet. But they would have used camo I think, as they did with their other aircraft. Moreover a camouflaged Fiddler might look really cool :salute:
