Nope. That was not intended. The german Phantom should have been a single seater, lighter weight version without Sparrow missiles and without air refuel capacity. It was canceled in favor of F-4F, because the demanded development costs were to high.

What if Australia Day Part IV

 

What if Australia had suffered a communist revolution. There are a couple of possibilities we could put in mind, the best one would be the dismissal of New South Wales Premier Jack Lang by the Governor, Air Vice Marshal Sir Philip Game in 1932. 

 

Lots of strange turns here. In our timeline, Australia declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939, and on Japan on 9 December 1941. Plainly, a communist Australia would not have declared war on Germany until 22 July 1941. But what about Japan? The Soviets remained at peace with Japan until 1945, would a communist Australia have done the same, or could it have done the same? Might Australia have been involved in the Vietnam War on North Vietnam's side?
