A Vietnam Install for WoE?

Recommended Posts

Hey all..

I know there are some great maps and Campaigns for the strike fighters series involving the Vietnam Conflict.. however would I be able to get a fully functioning Vietnam install on WoE or do I have to buy WoV?

Thanks.

I doubt there are any for WOE although you could search the download section - you might be able to get something to work in it but it would probably take a lot of work on your behalf.

Suggest you get WOV - dirt cheap at TWs store now - if you have Vista / 7 with a multicore CPU though you need to go SF2V because it will run a lot better.

Years ago i made DRV terrain, which covered North Vietnam and a little bit of the south.

The neccessary planes you find in the download section, and i i remember right there was also a Rolling Thunder Campaign for DRV terrain.

BUT, this all was made years ago. The question is, wheter it will run with the last patch of WOE.

To get it right, you'd need the VietnamSEA terrain (ie: VietnamSEA.cat, which stores all the terrrain bits). There are a LOT of internal differences; objects that are SEA specific in the stock Vietnam terrain that you won't find anywhere eles.

So, yes, you'll need WoV to get it.
