Adding stuff to FE2

Hi fellow pilots,

 

I finally have a notebook machine that will run FE2 properly so I have it up and running. However, being a tad retarded in the computer savvy department except for the planes, I forget how to modify things in this one. I would like to modify the menu screens, and maybe add some new terrain or effects to it. Does anyone have some suggestions for me please. Some of the read me files do not specify if the downloads work with FE2 or FEG, so I am not sure what to go for.

Modifying FE2 is exactly the same as modding SF2.

 

Just check the SF2 Knowledge Base and you will know how to mod FE2.

Hello everybody,

I have a similar question. I searched the forum but got no clear picture.

Is it possible to use the mods for FE1 in FE2? I tried the Fokker E.IV Pack (http://combatace.com/files/file/6095-fokker-eiv-pack/) but the engine sound seems to be missing.

Is there a step for step tutorial for converting FE1 mods to FE2?

did you add the engine sound wav to the /Sounds folder???

 

A reminder to all:

 

the Knowledge Base for SF/Wo*, and SF2 contains the basic information to mod ALL the 3rd Wire games. It's HIGHLY reccomended reading.

everything works exactly the same, just in the 'NextGens' (SF2/FE2), the location of the "mods folder" --where everything BUT core game operations files are-- is in a different place.
