After a loooong summer of inactivity, there is a lot of work being done now on the Tiger! It shouldn't be long now..

Just one example, updated cockpit:

Yeah, all operators are planned, but the first release will focus on early operators. The plane itself is divided into three main versions according to year:

_72 Basic F-5E version

_78 RWR

_82 RWR and AN/ALE-40 chaff/flare dispenser.

The Swiss version would be the 82. Then there are versions with sharknose, larger LERX, larger vertical stab and so on, I will see what to do with those. But references are always welcome!

The north vietnamese too? They used it against China in 1979 and their pilots loved the Tiger more than the MiG-21.

I guess terrains count, it they're "in the works"

Finally reached the region I've been dreading ... but, through the use of "special" tiles, at least the Red River and the city are MUCH closer to Real Life ™  then in the stock map. Mind you, the river tiles are the wrong color, but I'm sure NOT going to do new ones!!

Mind you, it's a WW2 map, but has lots of expansion slots for the 1960s and beyond

The work is not finished yet, started on the more modern Tiger IIs. Below is pictured an early beta of the KF-5E, which is pretty similar in standards to the Swiss F-5Es. Highlights include radar warning receivers, chaff/flare dispenser and better radar.

hey Dave, got a B-47 Units of the Cold War reference handy?  i can get markings on that bird,  would like to see if anyone else can do the shiny natural metal though before attempting to tackle th skin itself

this would be a by wing affair for markings or possibly squadron level.  gawd thatll be alot of units.............

Kev, making a shining effect is not too complicated, i can show you what to do, also a specular map would help you a bit to raise it,

You know where to find me   :hyper:

big part of why i dont volunteer right now for skins. all nat metal, the Starlifter turned out the best. of course the DC-10 has been a devil skin since i started working with it as a KC-10, but the 767 is a one tile skin too and it didnt turn out bad. just not shiny.

but you've seen what i can do with tga

post-43212-0-30507000-1416013399_thumb.jpg

everything but the white on the skin my friends

so stickers is my strong point :dntknw:

back on topic,  willing to decal this puppy up at the least. if some interested party has a good reference on units it would help but i am handy enough with a search engine if need be.
