Please, extend your palette. Also you have to remeber that Lock-On started as "Flanker Attack" essintially Flanker 3.0. It's being designed by the Russians so the F-15 and the A-10 are there to get it to sell on the US market. and really, who wants to land on a runway that can get it self lost at sea anyway?

While the Air Force is still getting support in place and getting planes to the area, the navy is already launching sortes.

Yes true but its not considered an act of War till the Army arrives.

Marines can go first sometimes as they are still considered a part of the Navy (and to those that dont belive the last statement check out a MArine paycheck it posted by the USN)

I didnt know LOMAC was supposed to be Flanker 3.0, thanks for the info, that explains alot.

The 504th would jump and seize key airfields around Rome. Additional troops would then be flown into these airheads while the heavier tank destroyer units would make amphibious landings. However due to the Italians' unwillingness to fight the Germans the operation was called off on 8 September.

and lets not forget 82ABN was in the persian gulf 33 days before any marines could get a ride in fron the Navy.In fact the marines "landed with the main body followon forces of 101ABN.
