Fine Detail Pics of Pfalz D.XII and Albatros D.Va

Recommended Posts

Just found another great fund of detail photographies; perhaps new to some of you.

There are many high-res fotos from Albatros D.Va and Pfalz D.XII details - well photographed by Mike Abbott.

I have put a small selection together here, but have a closer look!

.

I have GOT to make the trip round to that part of the world. 22 hours one way in the air be damned, it would be so worth it!

Indeed - you would also jet over to New Zealand to visit the "Wingnuts" (Peter Jackson) at THE VINTAGE AVIATOR, I bet.

Or the WANAKA AIRSHOW!

'Was just looking at the Pfalz pictures. The camo design on the wheels appears to be the printed camo cloth, simply appliqued to the wheel hub. [?]

The wheels had spokes on some German aircraft, which were covered with cloth.

Very nice! That oil/water/fuel stain on the underside and undercarriage plane of the Albatros is perfect detail for those who like their skins 'dirty'
