The Campaigns are based around the Scandinavian Air Forces and with the Campaign Customizer DLC, flying as the Russians is not an issue at all if people choose to do so.

be adviced, the terrain shown in the trailer is pre-update older one so does not represent the final visual quality

Am I the only one having a problem with The Catalina Affair ?

By the 3rd or 4th mission my squadron gets relocated and the sides are switched entirely, the Soviet are in Sweden and vice-versa...

The issue has been reported in TSF 2 thread. I know what cause the issue, but have no clear solution yet. I´ll get back to you on it.

Most, if not all, SAAB aircrafts has its own name like Draken, Gripen and so on. But what a hell is the J-21R name? dntknw.gif.pagespeed.ce.mowZrWAsXV.gif

I found the answer - Tvestjärten!!!

Tvestjärten!!!

That was just a nickname. The J 21 series - like Saab B 17, B 18 and J 22 - lacked "official" names. The first official name came with J 29 Tunnan.

We are proud to soon release our first expansion pack for The Scandinavian Front. The Expansion pack will add many things that appear in Strike Fighters 2 for the first time.

* Several new and unique aircraft to fly, amongst them the Saab 18, Saab 21, Myrsky, Fuga Magister and Avia S-92!

* New cockpits for the De Havilland Mosquito, Saab 18, Saab 21 and the Fuga Magister by Stary; one of the best cockpit builders for Strike Figthers.

* A new Campaign, featuring an all out liberation of Finland by Swedish and Norwegian Forces set in the year 1950 including Amphibious Assaults.

* Fly for the Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic! A TSF First, this Campaign will allow you to fly an aircraft for the communists, defeating the filthy, warmongering imperialists in the name of Socialism!

* Bug Fixes and updates to the older campaigns, adding or replacing aircraft where suitable.

Most of our tools are already set, but I would like some help - I have _never_ made a campaign from scratch.

The Battle Area is the Northcape Terrain. Finland and Sweden will be allied against the Soviet Union.

We have come a long way since. 7 years later, we are pretty much done. Only a few patches remain.

Is there a trick to opening the download files?  It says the file is corrupted.

Make sure they are downloaded completely. If the problem still occurs, then you have to update WinRAR or 7-Zip to the latest version. Each change in the compression algorithm screws up older compressed packages. Some users reported the "file is corrupt" problem with some of my terrain packages as well. Just update your compression software and you're good to go.

The downloaded file is named TSRFinalPack.7z.001.  What's with the .001 file extension?  Is it supposed to be that?

EDIT:  Never mind.  File extension is a new one on me.

Got em all unzipped.

This thing is amazing.

It will be even more amazing. JonathanRL is in the process of updating his campaigns using my recently reworked Sweden terrains. The original terrain was bugged in a number of ways. Also, IIRC there will be some little additional content.

So... keep your eyes open!
