Like a fish on the dry land

Recommended Posts

Gaaaasp! It feels like having been under water for many, many hours, and now: fresh air at last!

Or like it must feel for a fish, when you caught him and show him round and weigh him and make

some photographs and all that - and he is finally getting thrown back into his element.

I don't know about you others, but without the forum I'm like a gentleman with no club; or like a fish on land.

Whatever it was, you forum moderators got me worried there! Sigh!

Erik posted this on the FaceBook page yesterday (thanks to Matt for spotting it)

CombatACE

An automated update to services on one of our machines went badly yesterday afternoon. Apache (web server) failed to restart after the update. The issue is and has been undergoing a resolve. I have no idea when services will be restored but rest assured I am working on it. Thank you for your patience and we'll return as soon as possible.

Even Windows couldn't do that to a forum - none of the versions.

I thought the site was gone, maybe hacked or something. This is such a nice community that it would be awful to lose it.

I kept the faith with the guys who drive the bus and knew they'd sort it out, but it was odd for a down site. No error messages or codes or anything, just a plain white screen. I feared a hacker too, but I'm glad it's under control. :drinks::salute::drinks:
