Flight model question

Hello all,

my question concerns data inis for proppeler planes and I suppose that strike fighters and first eagles are similar enough to try it here.

My planes have problem with prop torque while take off attempt

it looks like there is connection between angle of attack and roll moment, because planes tends to roll to the side

sometimes combined with massive yaw moment.

As a RC plane modeler I would try to make bigger vert tail but I am in virtual engine, so pls help me what

coefficient would make the work.

It happens only when there's a load on the lift surfaces (as opposed to when flying straight and level)? If so, I'd look at errors in the Ymac values, first. All lift surfaces on the left side of the aircraft must have negative values (for example, left inner wing Ymac=-1.7, right inner wing Ymac=1.7).

 

If that's not the case, post your engine values....the problem may be due to the thrust angles or the thrust position not being correct.

Thanx Fubar,

it is not the problem of Ymac, as I believe it has something to do with angle of attack,

because slow plane with bigger AOA on take off has problem, when you push your stick forward

and the plane is on main tires only the problem is gone (mostly). Same with landing.

I spend a lot of time with flight model of original TW spitfire as a base for my FM then I tried

to make spit flyable and the problem is there too (on HARD of course)

I have the same problems too, but in FE, the most powerful engines are of 220-230 Hp, so you can take off with some rudder input (very realistic on the other hand). In WWII airplanes there are monsters with 1500-2000 Hp, so the torque is insane (I also tried the Spitfire one). Maybe the MomentOfInertia in the engine Data?
