New rig + TrackIR

Recommended Posts

Hullo chaps!

I'm getting about ready to go back to the unfriendly skies and finish my year-old RFC campaign in EPIC style!

I've spent the last week putting together (or well, mostly learning how to put together) my new build.

ASUS P8P67 Pro MoBo

Intel i5-2500k

GTX 560 Ti (intending to SLI in the near future)

750W Power

1TB drive

+ optical and all that other jazz.

Plus I have TrackIR 5 now. Once I get everything hooked up later this week the epic will melt my eyeballs.

Anyhoo, tips on transferring my campaign/data files from the POS "gaming laptop" to my new comp?

Well, you would have to save the folder "CampaignData" from the sim's folder here

(careful, that you follow my way - there are two folders "CampaignData"!):

(your sim folder) > campaigns > CampaignData

plus the files under:

(Your Computer Name) > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields

I still cannot say, if it will work then, but without this, it surely won't.

Mine is very direct and immediate. Can first make you dizzy, but for a fighter it fits.

I'm also curious - will try yours tomorrow. Thanks!

PS: Can you give me the values you used for

Motion Control: Speed

and

Motion Control: Smooth

They don't seem to change with the profile. My values are:

Speed: 0.9

Smooth: 36

Javito, good on ya! I'm happy for you and wish you good OFFing. I too am using a laptop for OFF BHAH. It works okay but after awhile the heat really builds up. I help cool with an external fan for now. I hope to follow in your shoes when I get OFF: Rickety Crates and Iron Men when it's relased in two weeks. :wink2:
