DL the Mirage Factory Mig 29 (no loadouts?)

Recommended Posts

I've DL the Mirage Factory Mig-29 and it looks great....but upon standard flying it comes with an empty loadout - Which can be worked around when flying myself at the loadout screen. However, if I want the AI (enemy Red) to fly it......they don't have any missles to fire?

How can I correct this?

I have opened the aircraft fight and within its Loadout.ini it does seem to show it suppose to have 6 AA missles as its standard loadout....

That's because the names in the loadouts are the Western designations and the weapons packs usually use their normal designations. ie the AA-11 Archer is the Vympel R-73, the AA-10 is the R-27, and so on. The AA designation is mostly used in US and other Western defence circles, but usually not in the users/operator's nation. One way to get around it is to copy the weapon entry and use the AA-11 moniker. That way, instead of having to change all of the loudout entries to suit the weapons, by adding an entry that uses the name, all your aircraft should load with the correct weapons. Although you will double up on these weapons in the weaponsDATA.ini, it won't make much of a difference at all.

For example. This is an example of the entry for mine in WOE gen 1:

[WeaponData773]

TypeName=R-73M1 <<---------------------------------Copy this entire weapons entry and simply rename these two with AA-11

Its very simple to do in the weapons editor. Just copy the entry, rename it to whatever designation you desire.

This may be related to the weapons pack that you have downloaded. We have several AA-10s and R-27s in several different packs. My advice is to edit your loadout.ini to match the weapons in your weapons folder.

You could do that, but then you'd have to edit the loadouts for any aircraft that have loadout.inis like this. I personally just copied and renamed the missiles to their non-NATO designations, this will cover any aircraft you add that use the NATO and non-NATO designations in their loadout. There weren't that many in total and it took me less than 5 mins in total.

on the other side of the coin, just pull the "AA-**" missiles from the GunnyPak, and drop in the weapons folder.
