Can't even figure out how to extract files!?! HELP

Recommended Posts

I have been playing SF/WOV and so on, for some time. Finally bought SF2 a while back and just got around to adding new aircraft from the site. I have found the great guide put out by EricJ on adding downloaded aircraft, but for the life of me I can't even find the right tool to open the extracted files once I have downloaded them. i have windows 7 64bit and the 7zip extractor doesnt seem to be working for me.

Sorry for the "new guy" question but everyone has to start somewhere.

thanks gents.

this is what i get when i try.... attached screen shotpost-59467-0-55357500-1326216975.png

Are you getting that error with all the 7z files that you've downloaded, or just a few of them?

I have tried the cat extractor before and it doesn't even recognize that there is a compressed file. i must be doing something wrong. The problem is i cant open the compressed files after I have downloaded them.

That's an extraction tool for files contained within the Thirdwire catalog (*.cat) files. He misunderstood your question.

Getting back to your issue with 7zip, are you using the 9.20 release?

Try this link: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z920-x64.msi
