Can't keep high-vis skin out of flightline

Recommended Posts

Using these excellent skins by SidDogg for SF1 in my SF2 FA-18A I'm piecing together from other addons, sort of my favorite aspects from several others. --> http://combatace.com/files/file/10019-fa-18-hornet-vfa-113-stingers-full/

The problem is I don't want the plane with flamboyant livery to show up in my combat scenarios. Plane 300, or 400 or whatever always has this skin, while the others(301,302,303 etc.) are lo-vis. I've tried editing the number list in the skin folder, adding "StartNumber=301" in my campaign_data.ini but nothing keeps it away. Any ideas?

BTW, I like these skins better than what comes with the Hornet pack for SF2 because they have a more realistic weathered look.

The default skin for a jet in single missions was always no 1 in the f-18e/f.ini for example

[TextureSet001]

Directory=USAFGrey1

Name=USAF Grey

Nation=USAF

StartDefaultDate=1 <-----------also check

Specular=0.400000

Glossiness=0.400000

Reflection=0.200000

DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE

DecalNumberEnd=199

In a campaign the skin should be defined for each squadron in the campaign_data.ini

[AirUnit001]

AircraftType=F-15A

Squadron=7TFS

ForceID=1

Nation=USAF

DefaultTexture=USAFGrey1 <----------------

BaseArea=Spangdahlem Airbase

In the skin download I posted above, there is only one skin, but I guess 2 decal sets? I think I meant to say that the hi-vis decals are showing up on that one plane. My bad. And I am using it in a campaign.

Make a "2nd" skin (a copy of the first one) that only has the lo-vis decals and specify the 2nd skin for your campaign. Or remove the "hi-vis" scheme from the original skin, and make it into a dedicated skin.

Hey arthur,

I was lookin over there.

Try using this at the bottom in the TextureSet.INI with the skin as-is:

DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE

DecalNumberStart=1

DecalNumberEnd=14

...Get at me about that. :ok:

That did the trick, along with removing "StartNumber=" from campaign_data.ini altogether. Thanks alot! Hopefully they'll be sortieing over Iceland any day now. :grin:

Great job on these, BTW.
