Who wants to be in a movie!!!!

Recommended Posts

I hope to use the the SF engine to film a action-y type of war movie featuring the A-1H. If anyone knows a good program to use to video capture it would be appreiciated. Also, just like any movie with airplanes in it, I need good pilots to fly the planes. I would host a series of multi-player sessions to work out the scenes. I would need lots of A-1 pilots but also, Mig and Phantom pilots. These of course would be very structured and may have to be done over and over again, but hey, what the hell you know. I'm sure your all disciplined enough. I would also need some mission designers to set up the ground scenery, AAA, tanks etc. I hope to begin work on this ambitious project in march. If I learn flash in time, I may even have animated dialouge!

Well count me in also!! I enjoy projects especially ones with lots of people involved. Maybe this will also increase the activity at Gamespy and Hyperlobby. Geez I just reinstalled USAF just because I need some interaction with targets. I can fly the A1 and I can fly the F4 extremely well so just let me know.

Just to let evryone know...I have using SF screen shots to make some story for the film which right now is titled "Down there Amongst Them: A Spad Pilots Story" After the article in the Vietnam Air War special issue of Flight Journal. I will be posting some of the boards when I get home from school, but please...56Kers beware...they will be high resolution.

Cmdr Jack Feldhaus, USN

The first variant was now called the AD-1 (and we all know the AD really means "Able Dog").

Almost throughout its long career, the Skyraider has also been dubbed the "Spad". Originally only a reference to an earlier era, some wag even made "SPAD" an acronym, as in "Single Place Attack, Douglas".

U. S. Air Force Skyraiders flew rescue escort missions identified by the call sign "Sandy

The A1 was first used by the air Force in it's Tactical Air Command to equip the first Air Commando Group engaged in counterinsurgency operations in South Vietnam, and later used the aircraft as escort for rescue units.

These unconventional pilots were among the best the Air Force had to offer, and saw more combat flying during a tour than any other single group. Captain Campbell At a point about 10 miles west of Na Khang, Captain Campbells aircraft was shot down. Others in the area reported that Captain Campbell was dead, and the Air Force listed him "Killed in action, Body Not Recovered."

These pilots deserve our respect---- write it well

Sign me up as a MiG jockey. Been studying the tactics they used. Good to know yur former enemy... My only problem has been being able to connect online.

I also been using a program called FRAPS, downloadable from http://www.fraps.com/. You then use Windows Movie Maker to import the avi's and edit them into a movie. Majorlee turned me on to it after I wrote him and expressed an interest in making ingame movies. The only drawback is that the game resolution has to be 640X480X16. Newer versions of FRAPS will hopefully take care of that issue. For a sample of a FRAPS made movie, click here...http://www.major-lee.net/images/Marine_Ama...mazingGrace.WMV.
