Editing a Mission

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I have been using a cool Landing/Trap mission to practice with. The catch is that it was designed using the F-4 and the F-8 aircraft only. I would like to change this mission so that I can use an A-4 SkyHawk to practice with? Can I do this with the SfpQmd or sfme mission editors? I tried, but don't see how? Can anyone shed some light on this and is it even possible?

Thanks,

Take your existing mission & open with a text editor (Notepad etc.)

In it you should have something like;

[MissionHeader]

AircraftType=F-4J

MissionMap=

MissionType=CAP

StartDate=05/10/1972

StartTime=16:00

simply add an entry/ replace existing with 1 for your A-4.

save file (make sure it saves as .msn rather than .txt)

COOL BUFF,

I will try your suggestion tonight; I am sure it will work.

Thanks a Bunch,

Once you have installed the WovQmd and have it pointing at the right map and mission folders, it is very easy to use. All you need to do is open the msn file, select the F-4J from the list, use the drop down list to choose any installed aircraft, then click save.

Note pad works, but requires typing which could lead to mistakes since you need to type exactly the right thing.
