Click the Start button then type dxdiag in the search box and run dxdiag.exe - save the information to your desktop then post it up

If your Graphics card drivers are up to date I suspect your system is not up to the task!

If nothing else works, open your mod folder and edit the options ini from ForceDX9=FALSE to =TRUE.

Intel graphics solutions are notorious for not running SF2 with any sort of decent graphics settings. Also, if that is SF2:NA, I suspect that makes it even worse.

that's the desert tile set, possibly even the desert map itself; the 3rd shot could be the mountains near the western edge

with as little information as we've been given (like, not even telling us WHICH of the games, what mods, if any), I'm going with defects in the graphics

Your "Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset Family" GPU cannot handle the sim at your current settings.

Looking at threads from 2009 on a gaming website, commenters back then were saying that chip was slow...3 years ago.

You are going to have to turn your graphics settings very low to solve this issue.

I'd focus on the textures first. Lowering them should be the first thing you do.

Frankly, Intel's video has always been sub-par prior to the integrated video on the Sandy Bridge-series CPUs. Now it's merely slow, no longer totally inadequate.

Your GMA 4500 was always poor.

The only Intel Graphic's weakness: It's dedicated memory (only 64MB, even if you have more VRAM)

isnt GMA 4500 way below Thirdwire's listed minimum specs?

Video Card: 128 MB DirectX 10

You dont expect people to actually read those, do you?

no but TW will most likely patch and lockout more stuff to run on 64MB Integrated Graphics in the next patch.

So worried about losing sales to people over hardware specs, but dont mind losing sales to locking out the modders.

Intel GMA4500 technically has ZERO dedicated memory, 3rd Party mainboards can add dedicated memory by forcing system memory to automatically allocate no lower than 64MB, but the Integrated Graphics Processor itself doesnt have any VRAM to use, so all calls are sent to the system ram.

The Intel GMA has enough power to Run the Windows7 interface and provide an HDMI output using partial HardwareScaling/Decoding, its not meant to run games.

I actually have been able to get SF2 to run on an Intel Atom processor powered Dell Inspirion Mini 9 netbook. And believe it or not, it runs fairly smoothly. Of course, all the graphics settings had to be turned down to low...
