And Nobody's Noticed This Little Gem Yet?!

Recommended Posts

been waiting almost 18 months; he made reference to it about 3-5 days after I released my version (based on the stock MirageIII -that was then AI only).

I can only hope he releases all 3 RAAF variants ... F, A, and F/A, used just before retirement.

But at least mine have 100% historic serial, per each squadron.

You can be sure TK will draw the line at the early 80s (maybe as late as 85 or 86?).

You can also be sure that the variant you want or expect of the cockpit won't match the documentation TK used.

The RN/RAF F-4s have some cockpit issues because the documentation TK used didn't show what was commonly used.

So some critical indications for F-4 operation were missing such as AoA indicator and AoA indexers needed for flying safely/landing correctly.

But, as long as it is as well done as all the other DLC aircraft, I wouldn't worry too much.

TK will certainly fix any major issues and most minor ones.

and if not, ROSE style cockpits are already done (more or less...). The rest (expecially for the A variant) is a oh-so simple ini edit.

my money is on the stock MIII pit; pretty much what was used at any rate when the RAAF took delivery of them in 1964 (them leaving service in 1988, and moving to Pakistan). I did butt-loads of research on the OzMirage when I built mine (available in our handy-dandy download section! )

the Cyrano radar always sucked (even in real life)!!!

Now, if you're talking ROSE upgrades, that's a hole different beast!

Yeah, but even on that junk these are supposed to work (It's a later model in the same family)

TK even put them on the panel, but couldn't gather the .50c to code it, apparently. Now, to find just how high the Bears are, I have to watch the radar marker while banking and confirm the pitch by doing a barrel roll, hoping that the marker doesn't veer left of right.
