Cockpit position for SF2

Recommended Posts

I know that this question has come up before but I was wondering what the correct numbers are to edit SF1 cockpit positions for SF2. Here is an attached picture of Stary's Late_WW2_cockpit1 in SF2, as you can see the position needs editing. Thanks for anyone's help!

Aircraft?

Sorry! This is the P-47D-20 by Wolf257. It also occurs with the Bf-109g-10 and P-40e

I take you've not see the P/F-47D pak that in the SF2/WW2 aircarft downloads section?

http://combatace.com/files/file/12375-pf-47d-25-thunderbolt-by-wolf257-for-sf2/

using Stary's pit

this for the razorback or bubble top?. Position should be the same (hell, the data inis are almost identical) regardless.

if not, ust adjust fore/aft, up/down as needed.

I'd SUGGEST looking at the -25s data ini VERY CLOSELY!! -- you should pick up on the changes needed

as to the rest, search the SF2 KB for "double cockpit issue".

EVERY single one of the WW2 aircraft will need adjustment to the cockpit positons in their cockpit ini due to the 'way' SF2 reads the 0/0 point of the LOD

what pit are you using on the Warhawk?? My old mod used Kesselbrut's Hurricane pit, and needs a bunch of tweeks.

If that's the case...use the data below:

[CockpitSeat001]

HideExternalNodeName=Windscreen_Frame

HideExternalNodeName=Windscreen

HideExternalNodeName=Front_Upper_Glass

HideExternalNodeName=Front_Quarter_Glass

ModelName=HurricanePit

Position=0.0,0.15,0.75

Offset=0.0,-0.1,0.0

ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

MaxYaw=170

MinYaw=-170

MaxPitch=70

MinPitchFront=-60

MinPitchRear=-45

LightRange=1.5

LightInnerConeAngle=65

LightOuterConeAngle=70

LightAngles=0.0,-30.0,0.0

DiffuseLightFactor=0.5

NightLightOn=0.55

NightLightColor=0.6,0.3,0.4

Gunsight=GunsightFront

if any other, you're on your own!

Type this on _DATA.INI

[Fuselage]

ModelNodeName=Fuselage

HasAeroCoefficients=TRUE

ShowFromCockpit=FALSE <------

that won't actually fix the problem ... it requires MUCH more editing

It does if the mirrors don't show the whole of your fuselage. In fact I like it when the mirrors show me just the tips of the tails and the sky behind and above me. The Flankers have also been royally mucked by the slew of patches...and if you don't have the time to plant your pit with the same devotion and attention to detail as some of us here, ShowFromCockpit=FALSE works brilliantly as a stop gap.
