In my checking i found that this Ace, Francesco Baracca, flew a Nieuport 11 and later a SPAD VII..

Is there any skins for this Ace??

Just asking for historical missions..

Thanks All..

Baracca had this black stallion horse emblem on his SPAD.

There are of course no skins for him in OFF, as we don't have an Italian front yet.

But I bet Lou or Bullethead or Widowmaker could make you one, if you asked

them in a friendly Hobbit's way.

I should be able to supply your "MOFFia" with some Albatros skins, HH.

(The Godwin Brumowski Albatros skin is already in OFF, AFAIK).

If you are interested, there is a flying replica of Baracca's SPAD XIII.

Here is a photo I took 2 years ago when it was displayed in the center of Milan for the celebration of the anniversary of the end of WW1 in Italy:

_MG_9173_051110.jpg

I can send you other photos from that day if you need, especially of the other side of the plane, where there is the famous "prancing horse" emblem that later was donated to Enzo Ferrari by Baracca's parents.

If you look for its registration (I-GIAG) on Google you may be able to find other photos.

I've volunteered to make some more KuK DFW skins for this project. It would be nice of folks who already have templates for various other planes could do KuK and/or Italian skins for them. There'd be a definite need for SPADs, various Nupes, Camels, Strutters, and perhaps even SE5s and Hannovers. I'm thinking that the SE5 is probably the closest match in flight characteristics to the Aviatik D.I and it would look cool in a hex paintjob ;).

I have just posted two screenies of an Albatros D.III OeFFAG skin I have made for this project.

(see Stumpjumper's thread). It can also be uploaded without special markings, for wider use.

I'm quite flattered. Glad you like it. But please don't scratch the paint. That took me a couple of days to do :)
