I have downloaded this fantastic MiG 17F from the Suez 1956 era:

So I installed it I followed all the steps but it does not work, take a look at this:

I hate this thing, also I encountered the same problem with more aircraft:

your problem resides in the decals ini, i'l bet money.

prolly missing the

MaxDecalLod= line

or, since you insist in using WoV for things it's not designed for, you're not getting the Egyptian and Israeli national insignia (as those nations do NOT exsit in WoV).

you need to have the correct GAMES installed, and those aircraft installed TO those proper games.

in essence:

you need WoI for your middle east flying fix

Where I can put the MaxDecalLod line?

I do not understand this why the MiG 17F (default from WOV) can not use the Egyptian roundel and this MiG 15bis works perfectly in WOV?

in the decals ini...

if that's a EAF mod for Pakso' Fagot, even moeny says there's an EAF decal residing in that skin's decals folder.

you can solve all your Middle East aircraft problems by simply buying WoI from 3rd Wire, and using each of these very limited 1stGen games as they were intended.

WoV is only for the vietnam conflict

WoI is only for Isreal/Arab conflicts

WoE is NATO vs WarPac in western europe

SFP1 is .. well, nobody was ever quite sure about that one

why would there be 4 different games, otherwise??

Phil56:

Wrench made a typo, he meant to say DecalMaxLOD= which you already have in your decal set. Unfortunately for you, the decals are calling for the eaf_roundeloid, and if you do not have them in the "D" folder, they will not show up in the game.

In my SF1 Suez 1956 game, my Egyptian Meteor uses E_Insignia and is a completely different Insignia. It looks like you are using a SF2/SF2I mod in a SF1 series game, since th insignias are different.

it means, if you want to fly Arab/Israeli Wars, buy Wing Over Isreal.

and..

as an extra added bonus, TK has an expansion pak for WoI that adds the following aircraft:

C-47A

Mig-15

Vampire (at 2, if not 4 variants)

P-51D

Meteor F.8

and it brings WoI almost to the level of the orignal relase of SF2

i dont know if they are tbh .......their F4U-4 corsairs that came with the KAW mod,

i have looked at the decal INIs and it seems the problem was caused by a bad link to the files, .........i had to change the decal path on the wings and fuselage to insignia at to get it to work

strangly enough all the decals worked apart from these two positions, and the file appeared to contain a lot of conflicting decals ....or decals that had been entered twice
