Spring in Germany

Recommended Posts

Normally spring means the first warm days, flowers, the first leaves on the trees.

But not this year.

Some impressions from spring in Germany 2013.

Great pics Michael !! Same here, snow in parts of the country, high winds, high chill factor, weather records broken (incredibly too for a highest temperature ever recorded in the beginning of March,,,,) Nature is lagging way behind.

Yeah... All I can say is, that this "spring" how you call it definetely sucks. I work outside and this cold completely ruins everything. First of all my hands, then my mood.

The only thing I could do now with this "spring" is: :minigun: :minigun: :minigun:

@Gepard

From which part of Germany are those pics? Just to be curious. In the Ruhrarea where I live we, fortunately, don't suffer from iced roads and masses of snow.

Here in FL, it's 50F outside right now with ~15-20mph winds. The high is forecast to be 65F, but lately it's been struggling to get to those highs.

Worst part is today at 5PM is my daughter's weekly soccer practice. Sigh...

Nice Photos Kulbit :good:

Its called Eastern, but we have more snow than on X-Mas. And the weather forecast says, that we will have winter for the next two weeks.

Where is the so called global warming when it is needed?!

I have never seen before storks in snow.

OK, we made it, Easter 2013, the coldest since 1964......... We went to the zoo today and it's funny to look at lions, tigers, orang oetans, giraffes, elephants and many more tropical animals while it is (lightly) snowing :brr: . Our dogs enjoyed it immensely though, and so did the bears, wolves, penguins, ice bears and some more of the beasties from the more moderate climate zones.... :blum:
