Can't find a plane less suited to SAM hunting.... I like it!

lol - if the SAM or radar is 10 miles away (preferably less) this would have been just the ticket.

Totally weird...but cool!

I think that a TSR.2 will be more "suitable" as WW....just a hint!

Spinnrs, lets be realistic. The USAF used abit (not much but abit) of sense when making requirements. Plus the US bias against buyin foriegn systems. Plus its not really suited. Plus was old in 87.

This is why the RAF used em for dedicated SEAD after they retired them from intrrceptor duties using the ALARM!!!

(betcha thought it was a real complaint huh?)

It's all cool guys. When I posted this one at the 'What If' modelers website I posted something to the effect that not even J.K. Rowling could write a back story for this one.

@ wazalo68 - that's the third time now you've hijacked a thread to ask the same question. If you've got the Third Wire Lightning then it's a flyable aircraft so it has a cockpit.

ever do a SEA for the Lightning? or Euro 1?

No. That would be beyond my abilities and attention span.
