Tarty mountains etc

Several days ago I had conditions to take these, some are HDR, some LDR photography

 

Free time in this beautiful, yet to be discovered by most of you, Slovakia's High Tatras, enjoy:

those empty patches of land you can see there in first 2 pictures... there was tremendous tornado back in 2004, I was there year after... whole mountain slopes were covered in shattered, torn upside-down trees, sad view, but now nature has it's way to redo the damage!

 

day earlier, home, good old lift to our dominant (1140 m) Jaworzyna mountain that overlooks my hometown:

Truly wonderful and Slovakia is just next door for me... and aside from Bratislava I have not been anywhere yet...

Did some checking and to get to the middle of the region its about 4 hours from Vienna... I will wait until August as I have some friends coming from England and it will be a good day out... Will be looking for a cheap hotel or lodge or something like that as motorbikes and carrying gear do not go together... thank you though for showing us all the pictures and putting somewhere else on the list of places to go... Along with a few places in Poland...

Great photos.

 

Reminds me of when I lived in the mountains of North Carolina years ago. I really miss the dramatic cloudscapes.

Oempf, horrible, will take such a tremendous lot of work to redevelop this into decent office areas, let alone housing and shopping malls ......!!!!! :ban::blackeye:
