the tanks are named for what they fit (for the most part)

and will be listed in the data ini for that hardpoint, and the loadout ini for Escort and/or Recon

The strange thing is, when you drop a tank into the tankfarm, you cant select it. So i have droped it into the weapons folder and it selectable?! Where is the difference?

like any other weapon they need to be in the main /Weapons folder.

the 75 gal mustang tank is the closest we have for the Mk V and later. I even use it on the stcok 3W Mk 9s

108 is too big.

the actual spt drop tank ran around 44-50 gallons. not counting the conformal 'ferry' tank of 130 imp gals. many picture on the net, if one wants to hunt around

Yeah did that got some to show in loadout but some dont,Why is that? I know you have to keep within the max weight limit for the pylon or attachment and the tank has to be in your weapons file and it has to be same name.I noticed that SF1 call's mission names differently could this be the reason for no show?Like sf1 call's Long range air to air ,We have Fighter sweep,Intercept,Escort,Strike,Armed recon,AntiShipping so which one apply's to the first?

Fighter sweep,Intercept,Escort,Strike,Armed recon,AntiShipping

the mission tasking names, as seen in (almost) EVERY data ini are:

CAP

Sweep

Intercept

Escort

CAS

Strike

Armed_Recon

Anti_Ship

Recon

in LOADOUT INIS:

AirToAir

AirToAirLongRange

Attack

Strike

Anti-Ship

Recon

that's all that's needed. The game engine ™ KNOWS what mission statement goes with what loadout. For example, Armed_Recon and CAS are classed the same: Attack

AirToAirLongRange is SWEEP and ESCORT

AirToAir is CAP

it is NOT that diffucult to figure out! Also covered someplace in the 1stGen KB

well, RAF50 Bomb is incorrect. it's just plane RAF50. I should know, iirc, I built it.

also, Hurricane Mk.1's ain't got no hardpoints.

those didn't start appearing until the IIb series, 'HurriBomber', and later marks.

and...the mass of the 44 gal tank is 187 kg

if you'd told us at the start, WHICH aircraft (and who built it), those of us that know this stuff backwards and forwards, inside and out could've save a LOT of time and effort!!

I'm also gonna guess that's NOT Raven's Mk.1 -- as it's data ini is named completely differently (meshes too)

Going thru the Bf109-110's they all have the wrong tanks listed in Data and loadout.ini's if you are wondering why you dont have.Probably explains why I saw so many with static prop's far from home.Except for the new ones being released seem's someone else noticed as well.

the 110s use the same 300 liter tank as the Bf-109s and FW-190. It was pretty much the "standard" luftwaffe tank
