mine all work

of course, I cheated (look at the Beaufighters/Beaufort recently released...) and used ALL the possible callouts...

should be:

AttachmentType=W_GERMANY

(unless you're making a new F5 Italian torpedo, then add WWII Italy)

http://www.navweaps....s/WTIT_WWII.htm

remember, NATO are the 'good guys', so you won't find a US/UK/etc weapon on an enemy aircraft

i'm guesing SM-79 :biggrin:

increase max weight to 1100 (or so)

for externally slung weapons, you may NOT need the

MaxDiameter=

LengthLimit=

i took it off the TorBeau's and they work fne (other than the AI is stupid with torpedos...)

Veltro, what's the "header" name in the loadout .ini? If you're using NA it shold look like this:

[strikeNaval]

Loadout[01].WeaponType=Mk13 Torpedo

Loadout[01].Quantity=1

Hope this helps.

Oh, and you should have NAVAL_STRIKE in the aircraft Data .ini.

nope, it's still Auntie Ship, trust me on this!!

check the Beaus....you'll see

now, oth, Naval_Strike will work if one backdates the IcelandNA map, and has a KM carrier...this is also been tested (on both sides). Strike_Naval is more for CV vs CV, not directly for going after merchantmen

Veltro, um, you wouldn't by any chance feel like whippen' up a new U.S. Mk-13, would you? The Mk-48 .lod does a fair job on most torpedoes as they're mostly long and skinny; the Mk-13 was shorter and fatter, about 13 ft. long and 22.5 ins. in diameter. I know you're busy but, a new Mk-13 would be sweet.

use the brit mk Xii maybe???

drp the lod and bmp (whick might need repainting for USN), edit the weapon's data ini, and that should work

How about an F5W instead ? at least one close enough, not too many pics out there on Italian pedos so have to use a Airfix model as a guide

Ok model is done . going to make a copy of the German torpedo folder and rename to F5W Torpedo. Do i need to use the weapons editor to get it in game ?

Veltro, sorry I couldn't get back sooner. There's two pictures attached; one of the U.S. Mk-13, and one of the British Mk-12, which looks like all the other torpedoes in game. The Mk-13 was stubby!

no need to use the wepeditor. just have a seperate data ini for the f5w, and it's main ini, etc all in it's own named folder

the best thing about sf2 -- ease of weapons creation!!

looks good Ed!!

i'd replace the nose facis (the axe thingy) with a decal -- be much sharper, visually

Here you go, Boss. Hope these are good enough.

The tail should be the 13-1/13-2.

A couple of good pictures, here. Note the tail shrould ring, it was hidden by the wooden box shroud in the other pictures.
