need help with MiG-25 pack for SF1

Recommended Posts

Hello peeps, since there is no MiG-25 Foxbat pack for SF2 (except the mig-25PD found in NATO fighter 4+), i've downloaded the SF1 MiG-25 pack. here is the link : http://combatace.com/files/file/4019-foxbat-package/

and also the guy posted the afterburner effects separately here the is link: http://combatace.com/files/file/4022-foxbat-burner-effect-by-deuces/

Well here is my problem. The aircrafts seem to work well but there is a problem with the afterburner. And there seem to be lacking Decal.

So is there anyways that the problems can be solved? By editing .ini entries or something?

I've noticed also that other two mig-25 mods for SF1 (here are their links:http://combatace.com/files/file/7255-mig-25pd-syaaf-by-brader/ and http://combatace.com/files/file/6698-mig-25pd-foxbat-e-libyan-af/ ) seem to have decal forlder. Will this help?

Thanks in advance! :biggrin:

Yeah i know about how to convert older planes, but in this pack some model of mig-25 seems to be lacking the D folder for decals etc. Thats the type of problem I have. So what can I do? Can I use the decal for one model (for example MiG-25R) for another model (mig-25BM or mig-25PD) :baby:

Yes you can use the same decals - the locations are defined in the decals.ini in the skin folder so you can just change where it looks for them

[Decal002]

MeshName=Fuselage

DecalLevel=2

DecalFacing=LEFT

FilenameFormat=MiG-25PD/decalexample <----------------------

Position=-6.715,0.05

Rotation=0

Scale=0.5

DecalMaxLOD=3

You don't need decals; in the skin folders with no D folder, the Decal.inis call for "stock" decals: Insignia and SovietNum. These are in the games' Cat files.

Ok thank you, but hey got another problem,in some mig-25 models the airbrake at the tip of the mig-25 where the brake chute is released seems to be always open. Can this be solved?

Hmm infact the problem is that the airbrakes in all model are fixed(either remaining open or remaining closed) there no animations of them opening and closing. How can this be solved? Should I replace the lods by a working version?

They all work except the PD. Try them on the ground. They're actually a brake chute for landing. The entries for them are at the bottom of the Data.ini files.

Yeah I noticed that and i've even changed the lod of the PD with one that is working. But I thought that if applying airbrake, then that little thing should raise up. Anyways thanks. :biggrin:

Download Eburger's SF2 Operation Desert Storm. There are Foxbats in there that are flyable and modded to latest standard within the limits of the old LOD. Best you will get until Centurion get's his finished.
