Issues Creating a New Mod Folder

Recommended Posts

I am trying to install the Operation Darius mod on with the game patched to July 2012. I renamed the base .exe and .ini file and it created the new mod folder. However, when I start up the game from the new exe file, it appears that it is still reading from the default mod folder and not the new one. One odd thing is that it is overwriting the edited options.ini file in the new install.

Any solutions for this issue?

Did you copy the base file, paste the rename? Or just rename the base file? Need to do what i described in the first question....

I copied and pasted the base files and renamed them when they were both selected. So in the install folder in program files there are .exe and .ini for Operation Darius, SF2:E, and SF2. I copied and pasted the SF2 files to create the operation Darius ones. Do I need to edit the new Operation Darius .ini file or use the ones from SF2:E?

I found the problem with the install. At the bottom of the options.ini, the mod directory was still set to strikefighters2 instead of the new folder.
