Adding hardpoints to a plane?

Recommended Posts

I want to add three hardpoints to the F11 Tiger, two on each wing and thhe last one under the fuselage. But is possible to add hardpoints without having the MAX file?

You can "physically" (visually) add pylons using the fake pilot method, but someone will have to create them for you in Max.  But otherwise, yes, it's a simple procedure, adding the desired positions in the aircraft's data file.  But without the aforementioned "pylons", they'll be virtual.

So, to have fully functional hardpoints, I need the MAX files and someone capable of adding those pylons in MAX, right?

No.  To have VISIBLE hardpoints, you need to have someone create them in MAX (and you can add them using the fake-pilot method).  Functional (albeit, invisble) ones are simply a matter of adding them in the data.ini file for that aircraft.

You need to tell the planes parts in the data.ini the specific codes.

go to:

[Fuselage]

...

...

...

SystemName[XXX]=FuselageStation

set for the XXX the correct systemnumber,  than scroll down to the weapons section of the ini file and check what numbers are used for the station codes.

Add a new weaponstation with the name "FuselageStation" or what ever u have used for it

StationID=1            <---- just an ongoing weaponstation number
StationGroupID=1  <--- is the number of the weaponstation group You can write the 1, ....., x to every station and you wil have one big group. If you just choose the outer station and set the same number for both, so you can load with one click the same weapon on both pylons.

This is what you need to pay attention

The naming has to be correct and the numbers. All has to be add in the data.ini of the plane
