I would say at least the Mark V is being planned...

Come to think of it the PR XI could be made using the TMF Mk VIII, just would need to hide Wing Cannons.

Yup, need the Mk.V Trop first.

waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy ahead of you, Dave!!!

I've already done ALL the decals for the 31st FG (307 -MX, 308 -HL & 309 -WZ) for the DAT Mk.V.

Which are also used on the TMF Mk.VIII  for the MTO (see below)

turning it into a PR is not much work at alll

I notice the pathfinder/recce Mossi in the background....

quick and dirty (well, not too dirty...)

circa November 1942: PR.XI, using the 3w mk 9.

I have to move the vertical camera lenses back about 1/2 meter...the oblique lens is perfect.

Some references call the mk VII with all guns, as it was used for medium and low level, but the XI apparently was totally unarmed. So I need to figure out the frakking mesh names for the 4 gun barrels.

Or just go nonhistorical, and leave them in. You all know how lazy I am...

btw, the MkVII was basically the mk v with some mods and stuff (larger oil tank, additions fues fuel tank, 50 gallon external 'slipper' tanks, and so forth.

color is FS matched RAF PRU Blue

edit:

NM -- forgot about the FR Mk.IX ... 3 camera and ALL armament. Simplest way to go

There is a recce version already in the downloads section of SF2 with the guns removed. The only issue would be the retractable tail wheel.

The mesh names for the guns on the Mk. IXc are as follows:

20mm_L & R, cannon_bump_L & R and cap_L & R.

The XI does also have a deeper forward section immediately aft of the propeller. I think it was for an enlarged oil tank.

in what respect Dave?

new AvHistory engine sound, opening canopy, "attached" tail light? Adjusted rate-of-climb throttle setting (wwaaaaay too low stock), corrected armor values, ww2 pilot, loadouts, flaps only on landing, etc etc etc....

Hangar and loading screens? (of course, those are in the as-yet-unavailable D/L section) Skins & Decals??? (for mk 9)

what you need, brudda???

This is the Spitfire PR Mk. XI by ndicki. As you can see no guns and no tail wheel.

thanks!

XI didn't have any guns, and "loosly" based off the Mk VIII fuselage, with retracting tail wheel.

I assume (oh! that word!!!) it was released before the TMF mk VIII?

That's the Griffon engined PR.19 - I wish Third Wire would give us that one!

I'd rather have the Griffon powered mk. VII (or is it XII ? -- the one with the full deck, not cut down for a bubble canopy)

besides, I'm NOT painting those frakking invasion stripes on...

InAF Spitfires carried their RAF serials, as per "Modler's Datafile #5, Griffon Powered Spitfires"

Sandesh may have a link to exactly WHICH serials were used.
