Piecemeal Desert 3 on SF2 July 2013 patch = NOGO? ?

Recommended Posts

Hello, All.

Ever since the July 2013 patch, I have been having problems loading the Desert3 1.3 terrain by Piecemeal. Already reinstalled, checked the INI files, placed Desert.cat in the terrain directory...

...No dice. :dntknw:

Any ideas?

Works fine here....dont put cat in terrain folder...

I suggest you open inis and save them as unicode...I had an aircraft crash game with inis in ansi.

...Yeah. Still NOGO :dntknw:

Maybe it's because I'm full-4 merged with SF2NA...every other terrain works except THAT one.

Oh well... at least the thread is up, if it happens to anyone else :good:

...Hey, I have a question.

Does anybody know what exactly is being loaded at the 30% and 40% parts on the Loading Screen?

Hey SD I have it running fine with a full merged including SF2NA setup but not sure what loads at that point though.

It's okay, all!

I found the MF'in problem. :good:

In May 2012, the patch from back then changed Desert_TYPES.INI ←

Not until July 2013 patch has the game ever blocked any other version of that INI.

So, if you run into terrain troubles on July 2013 patch, check the terrain _TYPES.INI

You will have to transfuse it with the newest version indicated by the change lists.

...And there you have it!
