+Viggen 516 Posted October 20, 2013 Despite being in the middle of the desert, flying around Kandahar is pretty cool too. Mountains, dry river beds, and the red desert. +daddyairplanes 8,643 Posted October 20, 2013 been to both for at least 6 months. definitely liked KAF better, except for the fact that BAF is much colder. was in my fleece from oct until april at BAF, it was 85 degrees the day i left KAF in December. back to the fast jets, the Mud Hens put up a show getting out of the bowl. but alot more variety at KAF (Brit, French, Dutch, Hogs and USMC) as well as the Hogs and Harriers fired off strafing runs above my work hooch on a couple of occasions.
