SF2V: "Mission complete" right after take-off

Hello all,

I apologize if this question has been addressed before elsewhere in the forums.  I searched but could not find the answer.  I am currently running a USN Rolling Thunder campaign with an A-4E.  Great fun but at the start of my 8th mission, while still on the flight deck of the USS Midway preparing for take-off, I receive the message from Red Crown stating that the mission is complete-RTB.  I figured this to be odd so I continue with my take-off and hit "alt+N" to go straight into the action.  When I do this, my I am advanced to the landing point of the mission.

 

Afterward, my debriefing screen states that the mission was aborted yet it was a success and I earned 250 points.  My question is if anyone else has seen this happen in their games and if so is it a common occurance?

 

I have a stock install with no mods (just a few pilot skins).  Thanks in advance.

I have seen that a few times over the years (Random game bug) - not that common - you can normally carry on and ignore it.

Thanks MigBuster.  I think it actually helps the emersion factor.  Perhaps the Thuds accomplished the mission before my flight could get there.  Thanks again.
