Can you use strike fighters 1 skins for strike fighters 2

I am trying to get the skins from the phantom pack from strike figters 1 to work on strike fighters 2 for SF2 Vietnam is it possible???????

I don't think so as I think they're mapped differently.

Just tried a SF1 skin for the F-4B in SF2 and it's not too bad. I think you'll need to try it and see for yourself.

 

Bitmap 5 shows some differences (nosewheel).

the skins tend to be similar, but just enouogh off to make you pay attn. good example is mytai's skins. lots of components are more accurate than TW stock (walkways, use of a blank white radome on all and decaling the black grey or sharkmouth in). i made up skins in Gimp, doing a kitbash of sorts betweenthe two.  Then i got Photoshop and discovered the beauty of Sundowners templates.

 

is there a particular skin you are looking to use, or just asking in general?

I used a SFP1 skin (from VF84) with the stock F4-J of SFP2. It works very well. Just need to create a subdirectory with same name of the plane in the directory decals and put the decals in.
