Operation el Dorado Canyon and Gulf of Sidra Incidents

I

1) Requirements

* A very powefull computer at LEAST with an intel core i5 and 6Gb of RAM, if not loading times will be crazy and gaming horrible as the CPU won't afford the MOD

* SF2 NA and SF2 Europe , they are "a must" , so you MUST have them if not forget about this MOD

Download this MODS from CombatAce:

http://combatace.com/files/file/13052-ticonderoga-class-cruiser-superpack/

http://combatace.com/files/file/12897-a-6-superpack/

http://combatace.com/files/file/10425-f-111-super-vark-pack-version-24/

http://combatace.com/files/file/9879-fa-18a-a-and-c-by-the-mirage-factory-for-sf2/

http://combatace.com/files/file/12327-tmf-f-14-tomcat-superpack/

2) Installation

* Use a CLEAN , and when I say clean it is a CLEAN MOD folder

* Path the game up to july 2013 if you don't do this the MOD won't work , so you are warned

* Download and install the MODs indicated above

* Drop everything you have in the .rar file and when it asks you to overwrite say: YES TO ALL

* Rar files are at .rar5 format so please be sure that you use the lastest winrar version

You can also try this program if you have problems unzipping it:

http://www.bandisoft.com/bandizip/

* Then everything should work

3) If you do the above things , you think that you fullfill the requirements and the MOD does not work properly, What to do?

* Any PM sent to me regarding this question WON'T BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT , because I don't want to have 12 PM's asking me the same thing in 3 different languages.

* So to solve the above point I've created a "problem template" , that you must fill and post at the file announce post of this MOD

"problem Template"

Installation you have:

Path:

Type of problem:

Campaign working (YES/NO):

Air unit of the campaign:

Plane used by the air unit

4) The MOD consistis on a campaign (Semi-ficitional) with a mission pack 100% accurate

5) Credits:

"I approve of the mod"

There are airfields and cities over the water!

That terrain has 5 or 6 years old and did not change anything except the tiles. I've been playing it for years and I've never seen this. Many of you have no idea on how a terrain is done , really no idea it is something really crazy and you should avoid sharp edges around your PC while you are creating a terrain. And many many times things like some buildings (Due to the .tod files) appears in the water and some airfields may have some parts on it because of the target position where you did the level airfield option etc etc etc.... And normally it is IMPOSSIBLE to avoid this , and other times, the solution will make some "secondary effects" that will make you more angry than before. Terrain building is something extremely complex.

By the way mono27 I've tried every single base in the terrain and all of them lied whitin the ground.... So show me the proof.....

yes, screenshots of the offending region are QUITE helpful. So is including the X/Y coordinates of said region (from the HUDData.ini in Debug mode)

without that information, it's IMPOSSIBLE to run down the supposed error

Ok, I will take screenshots of it. But I am sorry, I don't want to offend anybody, I suppose that creating a terrain is a lot of work. I hope my words didn't bother.

PD: I found that problem when trying single missions, I didn't try the campaign yet.

How do add screenshots?? Short time ago there was an option for that but I cannot see it anymore. (The attach file section).

Well, no problem. I enjoy the old Libyan terrain also. Thanks anyway!

when replying to a post, use the "More Reply Options". At the bottom, you'll see the "Attach Files" button. That'll allow you to stick in a screenshot

There are no differences from the old and the new terrain except from the tiles .

I already posted screenshots in another posts but I don't know what happens with THIS post. Whn I select "more reply options" then there is no "attach file" option, in this post only (I don't know why), when it is possible, I will upload the screenshots of the "flood sites".

Another thing. I have the old version of the Libyan terrain and it works fine. I found those airfields and cities on water, only in this new one, maybe I have a problem with the tiles, I don't know. I found that bug around Pantelleria and Luqa airfields, I don't know if it happens in other points of the map.

Anyway, thanks FRPignon for this campaign. Libya is a nice scenario to fly a campaign with the Tomcats and Varks.

Well. Here I show you pics of both Pantelleria and Luqa airfields in my version of the terrain Which it is the SAME as the one included in the MOD:

Everything is fine...

So I'm sure you did something wrong installing it or you mixed versions of the terrain..... When I say that the MOD needs a clean mod folder it is because it needs it.

any chance of saving this for download with a not so advanced version of WinRAR?  I can't seem to unpack it.
