Hello, I decided to use the F-105D_66 cockpit for a Saab Viggen mod. The thing is the cockpit of the Viggen doesn't have the frame that the F-105 has. So how do I remove it? I mean what should I tweak in the Cockpit.INI ? To be more precise how do I remove those two straight frame thing which are at both sides on of the HUD which can be seen on the pic below? (please note that I am not referring to the thing which is holding the HUD, but rather the ones which forms part of the canopy frame)

in the cockpit ini, which MUST reside inside the Viggen's main folder

[CockpitSeat001]
HideExternalNode=CanopyFrame
ModelName=F-105D_66_pit
Offset=0.0,0.0,0.0
Position=-0.00,3.5,1.20
ViewAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0

Just one last thing troubling me and I don't want to make another thread for that. The problem is that the fuel tank doesn't appear even when it is equipped. How do I solve that?

Check if the tank's lod name call out matches the lod's name in your "Viggen_tank.ini" you have in the "Viggen_tank" folder

[LOD001]
Filename=gripen_tank.LOD <-------- should read  Viggen_tank.LOD
Distance=1200

In the Viggen_Tank_data.INI

ModelName=Viggen_tank

Main thing, both should match the lod's name.

Wrench, does that hide the canopy frame for you? I tried it out on my F-105's, even looking up the node name, "canopy_frame", with Mue's LODVewer but it had no effect. Is there something else I am missing?

KJakker, you know me better than that ... I never post stuff that doesn't work!!!  :biggrin:

Look at the wording of the statement ... the LODViewer won't be of much help when looking at the cockpit lod, as that's not what being hidden...

HideExternalNode=CanopyFrame

the screenie below shows 'what you see is what you get'

Didn't try it yet, but if it works it should be what the Draken has always needed. Is trhis along the lines of the old modification where te F4 pit was turned into a Viper ?

somewhat yes, somewhat no. Even though not fully correct in all aspects, the Thud's pit was the best closest fit
