how to point program to a new Drive D:

Recommended Posts

My C: drive is getting full.  I want to point my strike fighter 2 to a D: drive, and have all my strike fighter files in the D: drive instead of C:. Can anyone tell me how to do this.  I would appreciate it.

You can literally copy and paste the stock SF2 folders to wherever you like, you'll need to make new shortcuts but this will work.  Assuming you use a mods folder, you can also move that to the d: drive.  All you then need to do is find your options file, which defaults to %UserProfile%\Saved Games\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2\options.ini, then in this file under [Mods] change the directory location to point to your new mods folder.

That looks like the default saved games location on C above - is it?

If so it should only have a few ini files in it now - look at the screenshots I put up.

No that is the D: drive.  I decided to make a directory exactly like C; so i wouldnt be confused. Actually what i ended up doing id finding as many terrains as possible and download them again and it seems to be working but i have to wait until tomorrow to do the rest.  Thanks for all you help.
