My condolences to everyone in France. I personally know some people that live there, I truly hope they're OK.

It's quite possible that another team is still at large (not counting other sleeper sells). So hold your breath during the following days...

By the way, we are now under "State of emergency", that is the legal framework used during the Battle of Algiers when we rooted out terrorism from said city in a few months. Security services might now work correctly... If they had enough money...

Deepest condolences to the victim's families. Attacks like this are the ultimate expression of cowardice.

The terrorists made a double gotcha, first by striking the heartland of a country actively bombing DAESH, and also by drawing in the face of the World a blood-red cross on an attractive touristic spot, the way they did in Tunisia, and Morocco, and Egypt, and so on... If they keep on targetting such touristic spots and high places of Western culture, beware Rome, Madrid and London, you're next.

The terrorists surprised and killed 130 that night, but 66 millions are still left, and next time they won't be that surprised. For months and years we've been swamped with news about targetted attacks like at Charlie Hebdo's, miraculously failed attacks like in the Brussels-Paris train, or terrorists cells arrested just before they strike; but now that's it, we know we are at war. Actually we were already, since we started bombing Sharia cavemen in Mali and Syria, and even since we passed laws to protect ourselves as a laic progressive, deeply Western country against social evolutions threatening to sink this country back to the Dark Ages of Hegira. But now, we can't ignore it any more, we are at war. We were already 100 years ago on this same soil, and in those dark times, a count of 130 would have been deemed a quiet day - suprise and terror excepted. So let's banish surprise, let's turn fear into careful watchfulness that can keep us alive, and let's accept the fact that we now live in a country continent world contamined with a fifth column able to strike anywhere, anytime, anyone.

Ben nan rien a voir.

Well, I got carried by my mother tongue.

So, translation for the others : Murphy's said that the current situtation has nothing to do with the context back during algerian emergency as the overall conflict wasn't the same both in nature and power.
My point is that we are on the contrary with a quite similar set up, espacially regarding the urban terrorism... and regarding the overall lower human cost of attacks back in the day.

Sorry for the french.

Limited retaliation bombings last night over Raqqa, which seems yet to have shaken the town, and to have reduced this day movements within, after the Turkish NGOs. Seemingly the largest number of sorties in one single mission to this day by the Armée de l'Air over Syria. Command posts targetted - if we knew where they were, why not having blasted them before!? The aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is to be dispatched soon to Eastern Mediterranea.

Bring more bombs !!

Short answer, the perpetuation of ISIS, and the creation of a radical fundamentalist Islamic state, just as their name suggests. Fundamentalist religious people feel that they answer to a "higher power" and are therefore not bound by the values of human civilization. Also, the more terrifying the incident, the longer the period of perpetuation, because retaliation begets retaliation, and the more cowed the normal people who surround you become.

      View File Mirage F1AZ
      Mirage F1AZ (1975-1991)
This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him.
Single-seat strike and multi-role fighter. It is a simplified attack version with extra fuel in place of radar and some other all-weather avionics.
The South African Air Force recognized the advantages of a simplified version of the Mirafe F1CZ for day visual attack missions. The resulting Dassault-Breguet Mirage F1AZ
is visually distinguished by having a slender conical nose, resulting from removal of the large Cyrano IVM radar. In its place is the ESD Aïda II ranging radar and a
laser-ranger, with a large instrument boom housing the pitot/static heads attached on the underside of the nose.  The main avionics racking is moved from behind the cockpit
to the nose, making room for an extra fuselage tank. Other additions are a Doppler radar and a retractable refueling probe. South Africa received 32 aircraft for service with
      No. 1 Sqn.
The aircraft were withdrawn from service in 1997.

      Covered unit :
N°1 Squadron Early Camo. N°1 Squadron Experimental Camo. This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware.
      Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms.
      Enjoy
