USCG F-4 Phantom

This is my April Fools Day 2016 joke released as a skin. It is a US Coast Guard F-4J Phantom, supposedly used for drug interdiction in the 1980s.

 

Installation Instructions

 

Copy the contents of ModFolder into your ModFolder. Rename NATIONNAME216.tga as required. For all serial and buzz numbers, you will need FRPignon's F-4J Phantom II Early (1966-1974) TK 1.1 mod located at: http://combatace.com/files/file/15291-f-4j-phantom-ii-early-1966-1974-tk/

 

Add the following to your Nations.ini file. Change XXX to an appropriate number in your Nations.ini file:

Note that CoGard aircraft models begin with the letter "H" (e.g., a Lockheed C-130 is known as an HC-130).  And (you Phantom II stick-shaker historians may correct me here), by the 1980's, weren't all the F-4J's redesignated as F-4S models?  So, I think this could likely be an HF-4S in USCG parlance.

Rescue aircraft use the H modified mission letter. The reason most USCG aircraft use it is that they're rescue aircraft. Some of their helicopters use the M modified mission letter to denote their combined roles of rescue and law enforcement. This Phantom would be used purely as a fighter.

Before 1962, the designation for a USCG F-4B would have been F4H-1G.
