Let's see how this goes

Recommended Posts

Some people may be aware of what happened in SimHQ due to me posting a link to a discussion about me in a public forum, which was about blaming me for ongoing disruptions in that forum, and another call from a single person to the EAW community and the SimHQ moderators to take action against me. This person, who had just received a year ban himself, had  shown time and time again that unsustained allegations,  brutality and repetitive abuse to various members of that forum  is proof of my misconduct. It's forum moderator accused me of violating a public forum's security in order to retrieve this information, which was said to be confidential. This has been disproven by this forum's moderator and various members of SimHQ.

Since I was the subject of discussion I felt I had the right to post the link which showed how my adversaries operate behind my back, but nonetheless in an open forum. As a result of that I can no longer post there and to be honoust I no longer want to. All I want is to be able to post my findings and show the result of 18 years of research and modifications I've made to EAW with the help of the source code, gernerously made available by Atari. I feel I have the right to do this in peace and without the constant intervention from those who do not like what I've achieved and/or lack the same knowledge.

It's doubtfull wether these people will let me work in peace, as they're also members in this forum and my creation is competitive with theirs, but it's my hope that the moderator of this forum is unbiassed in fact I know he is, because we've been in contact for a long time now and he's been very much aware of what's been happening in that other forum. Let's just say that not a single post I made in there was met with any friendlyness, inspite of me trying to share information and help others.

I'd like to stress that I'm not looking for an audience but I believe that there may still be a few people left who can have some fun with my creation, how many that will be is of no concern to me, especially since I've done all this work for those people I call my online flying friends, who'll obviously benefit the most from it. I'm too old to fight over a hobby which has given me and my friends immense pleasure, so I hope that this community will accept me with an open mind and allow me to continue what's probably going to be the one and only hobby I will be capable of persueing, which is to have some fun with EAW the way I want.

There's nothing prestigeous in what I've accomplished and it's probably never going to get fully finished but I have given it full time in the last 18 years and I think there is an interest amongst the EAW community in what I have tried to do with this game. I'm open to reasonable requests and or suggestions but I can't promise anyone that any proposals can or will be carried out, as it depends completely wether things are within my capabillities, after all this is just a hobby.

As a old time SimHq EAW forum member, old time CombatAce forum member I would like to propose myself to be a moderator of this forum, so I can keep things separated and avoid any conflagration. If is ok with site admins of course.

Hey VBH. Good to see you over here again. I was lonely posting about my site. It just gets old after awhile when mostly that's all that's getting posted. lol

Sorry to hear about your ban from SimHQ, it seems totally out of line and biased.

VBH banned from "the other" Forum?

I'll be posting here much more often. That is no slur on the other fine posters on the other site.

Okay here's the first release of it.
I forgot to mention in the readme that its hooked for direct input and has a virtual joystick.
That will allow you to configure the game flight controls to keyboard and cam to mouse.
(I don't think the virtual Joystick if selected in game will work) Its best to stay with keyboard until you get a physical joystick.

Thx to Erik and Stratos a special EAWPRO club was erected where further devellopment of my work can take place without unnecessary interruptions. Anyone is welcome to read it's contents which remains uncensored, but discussions are limited to members only and admittance to the club is exclusively under my control. Ofcourse crticism about EAWPRO can still be posted in the General EAW forum and when possible will be taken to heart. I'm sorry that there is no other way to present my work but it will not hamper further devellopment in any way.
You can find the club through the forum's main page or by selecting CLUBS in the top from any page in the CA forum or by clicking the picture below:

8 hours to unravel it's R/S secrets and 8 more to tweak the model into a light fleet/escort cariier. From here the model can be turned into any carrier class or split up into a multipart model. As a single 3DZ it can be a moving interdiction target (not landable) as well as a static target in harbours or alongside the coast. This is just a start as the model will be turned into a 100% model and It's texture will be upgraded soon.

This picture shows the R/S check of a beached carrier with a few additions already :) The model will be added to PTIV as the new EAWPRO exe has freed a slot for an extra ship.

The Reichenberg was the first and last plane I created in 2010, but with some recently acquired knowledge I felt the model should benefit from it, hence II. The initial model had it's cockpit more integrated into the fuselage but pictures show it was more of a small cubicle on top of the body. The old version also only used 6 sides and now 10. It may be further improved someday but for now this is where it stands. Weapons wil be added later too.
As usual a rock solid R/S, new skin, semi 3D pilot (as in the Ohka) and dashboard (not visible yet in this picture but it's already there).

Derived from my Reichenberg and still carrying some of it's details but with a fully working Rendering Sequence. There is a pilot inside too but I couldn't use the Reichenberg's tranparency file but he's in there. The skin is largely from the Reichenberg with a white overlay and all colors removed from the plane and a quick Nippon dot replacing the German insignia. Later a proper skin with proper shading will be added but first the model needs to be tweaked so all V1 details are properly adapted to get the model as it should be. Notice that the model has 8 sides, like my Reichenberg, giving it a rounder shape then the stock V1. Couldn't squeeze more out of it due to the model's small size which limits the circumference of a circle polygon. However large planes can use this technique too and may be able to use 10 or 12 sides.
