I've been updating Heberth's Raptor mod with new skins, loadouts, sounds, etc. The model had been released in alpha stage here: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/66398-wip-mega-thread/?page=3&tab=comments#comment-645422

The aircraft's 3d model is very fine. I also added all released updates shared at the WIP thread, including russouk2004's new normal maps. However, the 3d model misses external pylons! Heberth said he would have released the .max files, but only Modders have access to the Modders Round Table. I would need the help of a 3d modeler to create those, either completing Heberth's shared .max files, or by creating the pylons separately, to be added via Fake Pilot method or as weapons. An FM guru would also be needed; it seems thrust vectoring is modelled, but the animations won't work on the engine nozzles.

Here below some screenshots of the work I've done; I added reworked decals from viper63a's Raptor pack (the one using the old, lower poly model by Dels), and I created a fictional YF-22 paint scheme for it.

Anyone have information on adapter suspended on BRU rack that carries two LAU-128 launchers on outboard external pylons.

Hello. It's been a while huh... sorry for not finishing this one. It's a gorgeous aircraft, and for a long time i thought that i had lost the files... until i opened a few old folders on a dark corner of my Dropbox and,  surprise! ooks like i did uploaded them!
For those who want to continue from where i left, here's the max file, probably full of rookie mistakes and missing textures. I can look for those files later, PM me or reply here and i'll try to get them. Thank you

all the nozzles need is animating he set up the pivots already...I originall did the spec and bump maps but somehow couldnt find the model I did,luckily H has the one I did too still

I ll look at the nozzles later on today

Just found I still have the folder in my SF2....took for spin...guess what  My memory is deserting me...forgot what I had already done...

bit of flutter on stailisers but thats fixable....seems vectorthrust  ok

Someone already added pylons, fuel tanks and some other bits to model. Few things improved, few animations also. Few things left on paintshop. I heard should be ready soon.

Hi, Heberth! First of all, thank you for creating such 3d model. Good to see you're still around. We found the 3d model in the modders' arena time ago, and we're working on it. I'm in the process of adding decals to the aircraft, and I am making some fictional skins for it as well.

Calling the FM guru modders; we need help to fix the flight model on the new F-22; there are some issues with it, and it would be a pity if it flies bad, while it looks extremely good! Solved, help received from expert FM modder!

Progressing on skin work for the upcoming F-22A Raptor addon. There will be a separate, huge skinpack featuring various fictional and alternative camouflages and paint schemes. Here below a comparison between the pre-production and production paint schemes and layouts.

Among the featured paint schemes of the skinpack, there will be a recreation of the fictional USAF desert camouflage as found in Novalogic's F-22 Lightning 3 videogame. F22L3 features a fictional F-22 squadron (namely the 14th TFS, 9th AESOG) taking part in numerous dangerous operations all over the world, including nuclear strikes on enemy WMDs. Here below a comparison between Novalogic's original skin and the recreated one.

Never played the Novalogic game but sure the skin looks great.

Maybe is the distance to the Sf2 pics, but is the F-22 missing the ejection seat?

It is, but keep in mind that what I show is work in progress. It was referencing another (missing) folder name, now the proper seat folder is referenced, it has been fixed.

Back to our reality...

Here's another skin I have made, it's based on a real temporary scheme. It took me more than expected to paint that blue nose on this mapping of the 3d model, as well as to make that decal. I think it's worth as a bonus skin for the upcoming Raptor opera omnia we're working on.

Hi, ladies and gentlemen!

The separate skin package (which will be released alongside the main aircraft package) will contain 20 custom skins, of which 13 are Ace Combat themed skins, the other 7 are miscellaneous "what if" skins inspired by other videogames and concepts. Here below a sneak peek at the unique 14 liveries that will be available.

I'm assuming that the model has the same mapping? I may do a skin or two (or was thinking about it) but wanted to see if your project changed things.

Very nice skin pack, including a Japanese one.  I do wish Japan and Aussies would be allowed to buy upgraded F-22s... so the USAF could also.  But Cong-ress and their mad fixation on the F-35 lacking thrust vectoring and some agility.  #SIGH

Be sure to give the ventral bays a modified "EjectVelocity=0.0,0.0,-98.0" in order to throw the missiles clear when launched.
