BH&H 2 Screenshots and Movies Thread

Recommended Posts

Nice work, and great paint schemes! I always cringe when I try to wrap something around the fuselage top and bottom but that looks like it came out ok...

Been a while since I posted under this thread so here are a few screenies from a "refreshed" and transplanted campaign that originally began under the casual campaigns thread for WOFF on SimHQ (during the WOFF-PE era). Yes, it's the Ritt. Kiener and company episodes (still in Dec. of 1915) -- a bashful looking flight mate Bonk in the last pic. by the way (he was on leave for a few days; Hutzenlaub was unfortunately listed as missing in action a few episodes back so now Bonk accompanies Kiener sometimes).

M.G. wasn't working on the Eindecker this time so I parked Kiener's 'crate and went sightseeing using the "K" key disembodied view and left-mouse click to cycle through -- was pleased to see several flights doing their thing in the early morning. Pics. are with my ReShade profile for BH&H2 loaded, also UE/PE-era terrains mixed in via JSGME. Also loaded is the "lite" tweak of Xjouve's water mod. ver. 1.1, etc. BH&H2 patch level is 1.20.

Cheers all and happy BH&Hing,

Von S

A new mod with two-seaters will be available soon.  See the post in the Mods release thread and on SIm Hq forum  These are some of the ones that would not fit on the Mods release thread

The biggest impetus behind my beginning this group of skins was a new wing for the Rumpler that had lozenge camouflage on the bottom as well as the top and had, in my opinion, the proper size lozenges and orientation of the panels.

I was hoping I could get to that nearby cloud and have it be thick enough to lose him, no luck unfortunately. My controls were seriously damaged after that collision and I was afraid of falling apart in air as well (especially given the N28's dive characteristics) so trying to shake that albatros was near impossible. By the way, I have mostly been an IL-2 Flying Circus guy, but man WoFF just scratches an itch that FC simply cannot. I always look forward to doing at least one sortie before bed. I'll be posting them more often here from now on. This one is a few months old but is still my favorite sortie so far. It demonstrates how deadly the AI really are, ESPECIALLY when you're in an inferior machine like the Fokker EI against a nieuport.

Archie opens up on us and i struggle to maintain my height and keep my wings level. But manage to get my camera working..

Both make it home unscathed and fingers crossed that the photographs taken will be of some use.

Spad XIII Lt Henri de Slade, Spa 159 commandant, Le Mesnil-Amelot august 1918.

How can I put this skin on a Spad XIII texture (QC1)?

Wait, that is a SPAD XIII, right? You should just be able to select that skin in the quick combat menu, if that is what you are asking...

That's an interesting pic Socrate - I'm guessing either a custom-terrains mod. or perhaps the Alsace region in a pre-WoFF-UE era install? Thank you for sharing the pic, always nice to see the history of WoFFing.

Cheers all,

Von S

And a few more pics from a recent, early 1916 campaign flight in the Fokk. E. II (in patch 1.22 of BH&H2). Was testing air activity density on medium settings and holds up well in BH&H2 for the early war; I might however drop it to light activity settings in 1917 and 1918, to maintain consistent FPS. Nice and smooth so far. Terrains are a custom JSGME-load of 4L0M terrains, also WOFF-PE era terrains - Jan/Feb 1916 in this case.

My fault for choosing to fly in poor weather - which I've left as per user discretion in the in-sim menu (weather mod and clouds mod are vers. 2.02 and 4.0, by Buckeye Bob)

03_bh2122.thumb.jpg.ca37803a75d8ff2c505ebc5fad6b3433.jpg

Also stumbled onto some Nieup. 10s on one of the flights

Last two pics are from some testing in mid-1917, of AI and FPS (I found the terrains especially picturesque in these two so decided to post them; what a visually pleasing series of sims this is - still can't decide whether I prefer the SweetFX of my PE/UE 4.18 install or the ReShade applied to the BH2 1.22 install - guess I'll just have to fly both installs more to find out - those who appreciate sfumato effects of oil paintings will probably enjoy the pics that follow)

As you will find posted in the Mods Release thread:

Sandbagger will be posting the re-release of all three Jerbear skin Mods shortly.

This is the 4th release of the More Skins by jerbear Mod and the 8th release of User Skins and Alternative Skins.

There are three packs (1, 2 and 3) in the User skins Mod.  (638 skins)

Four packs (4, 5, 6, and now 7) in the More User skins Mod. The 7th skin pack (202 skins)is now added to thid mod making it 721 skins.

The Alternate Skins Mod is only one pack with 216 skins.

A number of changes were made to the skins in the first 3 packs, which are contained in User Skins by Jerbear. These do not replace any WOFF Skin Pack skins

Pol asked me to do some simple re-work on the Roland CII skins.  I got carried away with the project and ended up doing much more than was requested.  These are still the same base skin, I believe Makai made the skins along with some help from a few others.  My changes are just in the drawn lines and camouflage patterns.  The skins are supposed to be released in a future update, unless Pol wants some more changes to them.

I re-worked and moved all the Roland CII ace skins to Pack 1 in the User skins Mod, there are 71 Roland CII ace skins.

Shots of the DVII OAW are in the Mods Release thread.  I will try to get all the Roland shots this thead will accept her

ROLAND CII skins

As I said before, Pol asked me to do some simple re-work on the Roland CII skins.  I got carried away with the project and ended up doing much more than was requested.  These are still the same base skin, I believe Makai was made the skins along with some help from a few others.  My changes are just in the drawn lines and camouflage patterns.  The skins are supposed to be released in a future update, unless Pol wants some more changes to them.

There were four basic styles as far as appearance and I recreated them with new drawn lines on Makai’s base skins. This is all based on Windsock Datafile 49, the information on the Wingnut Wings site and Jack Herris’ “Roland Aircraft of WW1” along with more information in some of his other books.

The four basic types I tried to introduce are first production batch, third production batch, the CIIa and The CII (Li).  The one with the checked underwings is a 2nd production batch Roland, the only outward difference from the 1st batch is the national insignia placement.

This is all I can get on this thread so there are more shots on the Sim/HQ site if you want to see them.

Hi Gents!

Hope you are all well and getting in some much needed flight time. Here's another collection of photos from my most recent 1915 campaign. I have a whole new level of appreciation for Cecil Lewis wrestling the horrible Morane Parasol!
