Tank and battle sounds

Hi everybody,

just a question about one thing that bothers me: when you fly CAS mission in SF2, as you pass low level over the battlefield, you can hear the sounds of explosions and tank engines, that seems quite unrealistic to me. I never flew in a warplane over a battlefield in my life, but... I don't think external sounds are that loud. Is there a way to lower or to shut up them when flying in cockpit view?

not without heavy editing.

you'd have to extract all the vehicle's data inis, remove their sounds, place edited data inis into EVERY ONE OF THEIR FOLDERS IN EVERYONE OF YOU MOD FOLDERS, edit the Soundlist.ini and each of the guns data inis.

not worth the effort. at all. 

just live with it <gr>

I think it's nice to hear their specific sound, even if , maybe, it's not realistic. It's a game after all, not an USA military simulator. Just my opinion , of course.

the sounds in space annoy me when I watch the movie Star Wars. This is not realistic.  the world is not perfect and it is sad. Sometimes i wanna cry
