What a great series of photos!

F-86 Sabres were the Hollywood stars of Korea.  The F9F Panthers, F-80 Shooting Stars, and F-84 Thunderjets were popular, too. But the World II era props flying the majority of close air support and interdiction were really the backbone of the Korean War: P-51 Mustangs, F4U Corsairs, and AD Skyraiders for the USAF and USN. F-94 Starfires, F3D Skyknights, and F2H Banshees are much less known to most people, but are my favorites despite their limited impact on the overall war. The Banshee in particular not only was better than the F9F in the carrier-based fighter-bomber role, but its high altitude performance and long range made it a better escort for B-29s and recon (kind of the U-2 of the war). The night/all-weather F2H-2N Banshees served in very small numbers, but to me were the coolest of the radar interceptor/night fighters.

Some of them they crossed Chinese border but officially they have never been there... Sometimes you chase a MIG and you forget to...

      View File Israeli Mig-21F-13 "007" stock
      During Operation Diamond an iraqi pilot has decided to defect from iraq with his family, and so he had landed his Mig-21 F-13 in israel. This acquisition of the new and advanced soviet fighter has given israel alot of insight on its capabilities, and how to fight againts it. During it's service with the israeli airforce (and the US airforce), it has took on several paint schemes, this being the final and most used one.

      To install simply follow this steps:
      1) Drop "007 camo" into Objects->Aircraft->Mig--21F.
      2) Drop "Mig-21F" into Objects->Decals.

      Hi! I'm trying to start building addon campaigns for eburger68's amazing SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion mod. I'm trying to start by making a "red" version of the Easter Offensive campaign called "Red Fiery Summer", where the player is a VPAF pilot in an alternate Easter Offensive where the PAVN/NLF ground forces had air support. The missions would be more varied than the ones in eburger68's own VPAF addon, with strike, recon, and CAS missions in addition to CAP and Intercept.

      If anyone can help me get it set up and working, or at least teach me how to do it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
      Attached below are my files for the campaign as they currently exist
      Fer_RedFierySummer.INI
      Fer_RedFierySummer_DATA.INI
      Fer_RedFierySummerEnd.TXT

      In no event, unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing, shall CombatACE.com, or any person be liable for any loss, expense or damage, of any type or nature arising out of the use of, or inability to use this installer or program, including, but not limited to, claims, suits or causes of action involving alleged infringement of copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, or unfair competition.

      Note
      Beware, the mod is available only in the ISO format. You can either mount it on a virtual drive, burn it on a DVD like in the good old days, or unzip it with 7-Zip or equivalent software.
      The installer should automatically detect your Strike Fighters 2 installation folder. Make sure that the installation path points to your Strike Fighters 2 game folder, not to a custom mod folder. The installer does not allow you to choose a custom mod folder path at this time. The mod folder will be installed automatically in the proper "X:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\ThirdWire\" path, like any other mod folder created by TW's stock Strike Fighters 2 games. After installation is over, simply run the mod by using the created Desktop and/or Start Menu links.
      If you have the previous 0.9.0 or 0.9.5 version installed, please use the uninstaller to remove it completely. Clean installation is mandatory for version 0.9.6. You might want to make a backup of the Controls folder, so that you can easily restore your controller settings afterwards.

      Suggestions for CTD issues
      Make sure that you are using your dedicated GPU. Strike Fighters 2 usually selects Intel's integrated GPU by default, but that one is not supported by this mod. Don't waste your time installing the mod on office laptops, it won't work. Got to Sound and set Sound Channels to 32. We got reports that 16 is not enough and will cause CTDs on some systems, due to the higher quality sounds included within the mod. Set Ground Objects to Medium or Low, Horizon Distance to Near, and Shadows to Medium or Low. These are the most troubling settings. Due to high number of aircraft and objects in the campaign, most featuring high number of polygons and 2k resolution textures, your video card can easily go out of memory in heavy load missions. Unlimited should only be selected for Texture and Effects settings, but only if you have a high-end GPU. The mod currently includes Mue's terrain shaders which increase distance of TOD trees and buildings. These shaders may require more processing power. We might remove them in future releases, if it may help with performance. Pray for TW/TK to work on a 64bit version of Strike Fighters 2, maybe even with support for DirectX 12. With that done, CTD issues would be an old memory. Submitter Menrva Submitted 01/16/2021 Category User Made Campaigns
