I recently downloaded the black sea mod and I was testing various russian missiles and I can't seem to get R-27s to home locked radar target, any idea how to do it properly?

Could you give any more info? What aircraft are you using, the model of R-27, if it happens with other missiles, and so on.

Sounds like a wrong radar mode was used.

nvm, I was dumb. I'm just not familiar with the russian cockpit turns out I was shooting the missile outside its maximum range or just plain firing it while facing the ground under 6km alt :(

IF it's modeled correctly when you see "NP" that's the fire indication.

yeah after playing for a few hours I realized NP is the indication

It's not DCS here, it's SF2. Don't expect such level of limitations even in hard settings...
